The people of the Highland Park distillery claim that it was founded in the year 1798. It's wise to approach claims about historic roots in the eighteenth century with a fair dose of skepticism. Creative copywriters have been known to embellish the cold hard facts with their own brand of half truths in the past. There had been some illicit distillation going on in the area, but Highland Park didn't obtain a license until 1826.

The expression that started it all for Highland Park. First introduced in 1979, the 12 year old is at the very heart of our core range and demonstrates rich, well balanced malty tones, with the subtle floral smoke which makes Highland Park such a distinctive single malt whisky.
