"I fell in love with the nose, the elegance and subtleness, the completeness and harmony of the 2019 Óleo, a red from a part of La Cautiva that delivers more austere wines that have notes of iron and blood, earth, herbs and thyme and a seriousness and austerity that conquered me. It comes from a small plot of vines at 1,520 meters in altitude on very shallow soils with lots of calcium carbonate. It fermented with 100% full clusters and indigenous yeasts in a 2,500-liter oak vat and matured in well-seasoned and neutral 400- and 600-liter barrels. If the nose is captivating, the palate is other-worldly—elegant, pure, precise and tasty, with very fine tannins and a long, tasty, almost salty finish. This has to be one of the finest reds they have ever produced. Bravo! 1,200 bottles, 10 magnums and three double magnums were filled in September 2021." The Wine Advocate, 98 Points
