Some of our most popular Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon are made in Yountville, home to mega wineries like Christian Moueix's Dominus Estate. While Napa Valley is recognized as one of the finest wine growing regions in the world, Yountville remains one of its lesser-known appellations, perhaps in part for the very reason that makes it a fantastic area for viticulture. It offers a unique, patchwork combination of soils and climates described by many of its current growers as a combination of all that's possible in the Napa Valley. The AVA was officially approved in 1998, although the first vineyards in the Napa Valley were planted here by George Yount in the mid-1800s in the areas now known as Yount Mill and Napanook. Alcohol levels run around 14.5% by volume, modest by Napa standards, but you don't lose the decadent flavors and aromas that are the hallmark of a great Napa Valley Reserve Cabernet. Deep garnet in color, this 2021 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon envelops you with flavors of ripe and juicy red and black fruits. It distinguishes itself with a nose that is driven by notes of dark fruit and mocha, while the palate boasts lush, fine-grained tannins and an elegant, full-bodied mouthfeel.
"Ripe, plush and sophisticated with tiers of pure fruit flavors. Blueberry, currant, plum and blackberry are the core followed by hints of sage, mocha and hazelnut ending with a finish that sails on and on." The Wine Buyer, 95 Points
